Aguadilla, Puerto Rico 2006 Project Pictures

On Monday - the first work day - our World Changers work crew had the old roof removed in less than one hour!

The next few days was spent replacing damaged wood with the material we were given, and carrying old debris down to the street some 107 plus steps below us.  Many of the residents in this area are very needy, yet the view is breath-taking!

A student participant nails in a piece of pressure treated lumber to strengthen the truss work at our construction site in Aguadilla.

A student participant puts in the remaining screws on the ridge cap to complete our project.

Our work crew was named the "Crow Bars" and was comprised of student participants from 5 different church groups.  Each student put their heart an soul into serving throughout the week in Aguadilla.  They are truly "World Changers!"

My son, Andrew, served on another crew that learned how to do masonry work - laying blocks, tying rebar, and forming columns, etc.  They were very blessed as 6 local residents received Christ as personal Savior - a result of their labors!!!  Houses will always be in need of repairs, but lives that have been changed through the work of the Holy Spirit are changed for all eternity.

At the conclusion of our work week, Andrew and I got a chance to see some of old San Juan. This picture is taken at the Castillo de San Cristobal (part of the San Juan National Historic Site).

This picture is taken from the Castillo San Felipe del Morro looking to the east (also a part of the San Juan National Historic Site).

World Changers Mission Statement

World Changers seeks to provide Christian youth and adults with opportunities to meet the physical and spiritual needs of others through practical learning experiences that teach servanthood and personal commitment to missions.

We are an educational experience.

We introduce students to new ministry opportunities. We encourage students to discover and develop their spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities. We equip students to effectively communicate the gospel through words, ministries, and lifestyle.

We are student-focused.

Our schedules and structures revolve around the specific needs and characteristics of students (grades 6 through 12).

We are ministry-driven.

We involve students in a variety of ministry opportunities. Structure is determined by ministry needs. Community Projects involve students in relational ministries. Construction Projects allow students to minister to families through improving substandard living conditions.

We are Christ-centered.

We want students to learn to worship God with every part of their lives. In everything we do, we glorify Jesus. We want students to touch communities for Christ.
