Here we are posing for a group photo before heading out to our various host churches for Sunday worship.

On Monday - the first work day - our World Changers work crew took turns pressure washing our house before the painting began!

Although the pressure washing continued into our second work day, painting was able to begin as planned.  This was a good thing, because the pressure washing removed most of the old paint down to the bare block!

I think this was taken on work day 4.  By early afternoon there were not many shady areas around the house - this was the north side of the house and our team worked in shifts to get it done despite the heat.

"Here's the way we wash our brush,  wash our brush,  wash our brush... "

Here I am closing up the opening to the garage area. Team member and driver, Jack, from Idlewild Baptist Church was a great helper and encourager to me throughout the week.

Our work crew was named the "Drips and Runs" and was comprised of student and adult participants from 6 different church groups.  Once again God blessed me with an awesome crew that worked hard throughout the week to complete our project, while at the same time looked for opportunities to share Christ in the neighborhood.

On our last day, our crew presented a signed World Changers poster, a crew photo, and a Bible to our resident as we said our good byes.

My daughter, Katie, was on the "Brickbats" crew that was in a different neighborhood north of the Gifford area. They also served their resident by painting and cleaning.

Students had an opportunity to help lead worship during celebration on Friday evening after a hard weeks work. From left: Zach (FBC Lake Josephine), Tyler (Spring Branch Baptist Church, GA), Evan, and Jared (FBC Lake Josephine).

This year's mission offering will be used to help youth pastors in the Gulf Coast areas that were affected by last year's hurricanes help reestablish their youth ministries.  It is noted that many youth groups have been disbanded because of: the massive destruction of local communities including many church facilities; loss of church properties, equipment and literature; and the transient population were families have been uprooted from their communities.  $1000 grants will be made available to youth pastors through the North American Mission Board to help them restart or rebuild the ministries that were hindered by the storms of 2005.

Here are our students (FBC of Lake Josephine, Sebring) home safely Saturday morning.  Burger King in Ft. Pierce has become the official breakfast place for our youth two years in a row - I think the crowns are becoming a yearly tradition, too!

World Changers Mission Statement

World Changers seeks to provide Christian youth and adults with opportunities to meet the physical and spiritual needs of others through practical learning experiences that teach servanthood and personal commitment to missions.

We are an educational experience.

We introduce students to new ministry opportunities. We encourage students to discover and develop their spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities. We equip students to effectively communicate the gospel through words, ministries, and lifestyle.

We are student-focused.

Our schedules and structures revolve around the specific needs and characteristics of students (grades 6 through 12).

We are ministry-driven.

We involve students in a variety of ministry opportunities. Structure is determined by ministry needs. Community Projects involve students in relational ministries. Construction Projects allow students to minister to families through improving substandard living conditions.

We are Christ-centered.

We want students to learn to worship God with every part of their lives. In everything we do, we glorify Jesus. We want students to touch communities for Christ.
